Are you in the market for a new notebook computer? If you are, you will want to make sure that it will be compatible with the new windows 7 that will soon be out. You are sure to find great deals right now, but you want to make sure that the deal will stand up to the future.

You might just have to bump up the cost a little to make sure that you are not throwing money out the window. There are too many deals that might only get you a computer that will be outdated in no time.

First of all, make sure you choose a notebook that has at least a 64-bit processor. Windows 7 will be a 64-bit version, so choosing the right processor is essential. If you choose an Intel Core 2 Duo computer, you should be all set. The Dell KR meets that guideline and you would definitely be safe if you chose it.

Another thing you might want to consider is the hard drive. The hard drive should be at least 250 GB or more. You will need the extra storage space for Windows 7.

If you will want to watch any movies on your notebook, make sure that it is at least 720p high definition. I would even suggest going full HD for the best quality. Make certain that your screen size is at least 14.1 inches, as well. There will be a lot to look at with your new computer, so don't skimp on the size.

I will also suggest that you have at least 2 GB of RAM. If you want to upgrade, you would probably be better off going with 3 or 4 GB or RAM for increased processing speed.

There is a lot that you must sort through when making a decision about a new notebook, but make sure you have the bases covered for making it compatible with Windows 7.

Be aware that every deal has its drawbacks. Make sure you do your research and you will be happy with all that is out there. There are still a ton of steals on the market and with the proper information you can get the computer of your dreams.
